Who does gas struts?

Postby keithrx3c » Thu Sep 06, 2007 12:53 pm

Hey guys, just wondering if there's anyone in the ACT that can re-gas gas struts? Apparently no-one here (Goulburn) does them. The ones in the S5 rear hatch glass need RE-doing ( :P )

I had both rear struts re-gassed by the guy who owns this business. He turned up (on time), removed and re-fitted them the same day for $77. So far so good. :D

Its amazing not needing a plank of wood to hold up the hatch...

Good feedback.

My struts were ditched in favour of saving weight a long time ago ... I just use the top of my head to hold the hatch open when getting stuff in or out

don't worry - I've thought about it, but I don't know that it would be road legal?

The guy even complemented me on how little rust my car has .
While on the topic of saving weight, rust is really just the way mother nature helps with shedding unnecessary pounds...
