Summernats, Sunday 4 Jan 2015

Postby Mark Neal » Mon Dec 22, 2014 10:06 pm

this email came in from the Council of Motor clubs.
Hello All
Summernats Sunday will be on next year as usual on Sunday 4 January 2015.
If you are interested to attend entry is free.
Organisers have requested that vehicles attending be classic vehicles and not street machinery (unless classic modded) also no new cars unless of special interest or come with a good hard luck tale.
Same as last year, club members and their guests assemble with vehicles in the North East car park at Dickson College from 8.30am to 9.30am.
You will need a sticker and arm band for entry. These will be available at the Dickson car park.
Vehicles will then proceed in convoy to the service station gate where people will guide you into the arena.

I think a range of our historics are classic and fit the bill perfectly.

Noting the desire to not bring 'street machines', who is keen?
To First Gen, or not to First Gen, that is the question

I could throw some standard wheels on the white Gemini and rep a react flag if you need numbers?

(will require a sticker or something?)

I just won't pop the bonnet (I don't anyway)

I don't plan to go this year.

I looked back through the old events and it looks like we can take an adult passenger and as many kids as we can safely carry. I can' find anything specific.

Cheers.

Don't forget to check out the top judged elite winner... an RX3!

Grand Champion = Rotary-powered Datsun 1200 ute. Woot!
It's the first time a rotary powered car has won the overall.
